A military source said that a soldier was killed Sunday evening, as gunmen targeted an ambulance belonging to the government forces, which was coming from the area of Orqoob in Abyan province, "South" to Shabwa province, south-east Yemen, with a number of wounded.

The source added to "Al-Masdar Online" that a vehicle belonging to the 115-infantry brigade suffered a traffic accident in the area of Orqoob in Abyan province, Sunday noon, which resulted in the death of the driver and the injury of five other soldiers.

The source added, that the five wounded were transported in an ambulance towards Shabwa province for treatment, but the ambulance was ambushed by gunmen in the directorate of al-Mahfad Abyan, killing one of the wounded as a result of the clashes, while the rest of the wounded arrived at Ataq center of Shabwa province.

In addition, a special forces soldier was killed and two others were injured in Ataq city when an explosive device exploded in a vehicle in front of the Al-Awael school, which was a camp for STC militias in Ataq. According to a security source.
